This is a great little (1 minute) film of traffic flow from space. Cars, ships and planes and the lines they follow. The BBC annoyingly won't let you embed stuff so you have to watch it here.
(Andrew Marr presents the series Britain from Above, the first
episode of which will be broadcast on Sunday 10 August at 2100 on BBC
One.)

I moved a bunch of logs at the weekend and found myself singing this so I thought I'd share.
God I miss Ren and Stimpy.

This is another little Chris Ware animation to promote This American Life. The last one was amazing, this one is amazing. This American Life is amazing and so is Chris Ware. That's a lot of amazing isn't it. You should probably watch it then!

This is a film about the US underground independent poster scene. I find the poster scene in the US tremendously inspiring - that so many people can make a living creating artistic work for a corporate industry. In the UK I feel that we don't have anything as rich and varied and country-wide as the underground scene in the states. I'm looking forward to the film...

Those clever BBC folks have a pretty slick Aprils Fools gag on the iPlayer. Some migrating penguins!

I wrote about the film version of Where The Wild Things Are a little while back. Spike Jonze has finished the Warner Bothers film now but apparently they aren't happy and it may be re-shot. Audiences have been made uncomfortable by the film, children have cried and and adults have been left confused. I can't help wonder who they are showing it to!
Spike Jonze is a good director and it they wanted another Shrek they shouldn't have hired him. Simple as that. I hope the film does eventually see the light of day. Here's a clip from You Tube:

This is a nice time lapse video following a journey from LA to NYC. The music video is for French singer Lacquer and the video is by the consistently good brothers Gondry.

How much do you love Donkey Kong? Not as much as Billy and Steve I'd wager!
This documentary has just got a DVD release. Looks pretty fun to me, if completely insane.

Oh My Lord.
UK readers maybe familiar with Anfield Rap that wondrous Liverpool football club song.
Well, here is the American version from the Los Angeles Rams. The lyrics are amazing!
I'm quick off the line as I can be, cause I don't want dick running over me
I learned long ago how to ram it just right, so I could ram it all day and ram it all night.
The writers must be on the floor laughing their arses off! In fact they probably meet up one a year just to get their tear ducts flowing.

This is the poster for the Beautiful Losers documentary coming out soon. It was designed by Keith Scharwath and the typeface was by Geoff McFetridge. The film is premiering at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, in March.
If you haven't heard of Beautiful Losers it's a book and exhibition that was created a couple of years ago featuring the artists mentioned in the poster. You can read a whole chunk more about it here if your intrigue has been tweaked.
