About Protein®

Originally launched in the heady pre-dotcom daze of 1998, Protein® focuses on the intersection of science and culture by bringing together interesting people and their ideas. Dubbed "the system from which we operate", Protein® soon established itself as one of the leading UK-based sites thanks to the irreverent and much loved Protein® Feed.

Over the following years, new applications were added widening the functionality and appeal of the site whilst all challenging some of the accepted ideas of the time. With this latest 10.0 release, we are keen to take Protein® to new a level and will be continually added/playing with the new features. As a result, you may find things not working and/or changing around a bit. We apologise in advance, but that's what comes with always living in a perpetual state of development.
